Les Arcs - March 2020

March 15th – 22nd 2020

The Snowcats embark on an exciting spring trip to Les Arcs, France in March 2020. We stay at the Chalet / Hotel La Foret with Ski Olympic; a new operator for the club. The Snowcats haven’t been to Les Arcs since the 80’s so make a welcome return to this fantastic ski area once again.

Les Arcs, France

Les Arcs, La Plagne & Peisey-Vallandry offer extensive piste skiing and some of the best off piste skiing across the Alps. Guided days will be offered to the more capable skiers on the holiday if conditions allow.

Encompassed within spectacular scenery, including stunning views of Mont Blanc, one of the many advantages of the area is that it caters for all grades of skier and off the slopes has something for everybody to do.

Set high in the Tarantaise region of the French Alps, the combined slopes of Les Arcs and La Plagne create one of the largest ski areas in the world. Totaling over 425km of pistes, with untold acres of off piste to explore, the Paradiski is a prime ski area.

With lifts as high as 3250m and the guaranteed snow of the Varet and Bellecôte glaciers, good quality skiing is assured throughout the season. Intermediates will enjoy long, wide open runs navigated using a fast and efficient lift system which includes the impressive double decker Vanoise Express cable car providing a high-speed link between Les Arcs and La Plagne. There are no less than 17 villages to visit and tick off in a week’s skiing!

Advanced skiers have their pick of off piste and nature runs plus one of the longest runs in the Alps, a 7km challenging black (and red) run from the top of the Aiguille Rouge (3226m) Les Arcs, to Villaroger (1200m).
